Wells Fargo mortgage lending practices probed

Source: CBS Marketwatch

Wells Fargo & Co. is being investigated by "certain government entities" over the mortgage lending practices of its affiliates,
the bank said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Friday. The bank is currently the focus of several lawsuits
alleging it steered customers into more costly mortgage products and that documents contained misleading statements. Wells Fargo said it is cooperating fully with the investigations

Still, it might be better for us if the job was done by the govt....quickly and neatly. Or then again, maybe not.
