Son of the Late Dana Plato Commits Suicide
Source: People.com

First Joni Richardson endured the death of her daughter-in-law, Diff'rent Strokes star Dana Plato, in 1999. Now almost exactly 11 years later, Plato's son, Tyler Lambert, committed suicide at the age of 25.

"It's a shame that such a talented human being would do this with his life," Richardson tells PEOPLE. "He had all the opportunities in the world and we just can't understand it." According to Richardson, her grandson, a cameraman and amateur songwriter, had long struggled with his mother's premature death at age 36. Plato died of a prescription pill overdose on May 8, 1999. It was around the time of Mother's Day, Richardson notes, making the anniversary that much harder.

Lambert died of a gunshot wound to the head on May 6. At the time, Richardson claims, he had been experimenting with drugs and alcohol, a factor she believes contributed directly to his death.

"He was talking so sweet to me on the phone that morning," she says. "But you never can tell what's in their mind."

Jesus!

The entertainment industry is keeping up with Wall Street and Washington: Predatory, cancerous, self-devouring.

This country's days are numbered.

1. that's really sad...
my mother died at age 38 ... that can really be hard on a child, particularly around Mother's Day. May his soul find peace.

2. The death of a youngster
is tragic enough, regardless of who they might be...the death by suicide seems somehow doubly tragic...

3. Something depressed parents might want to remember.
Having a parent who committed suicide increases the chances that the child will.

4. Some day they'll discover the "depression gene"
and having it in your genetic makeup would have been a pre-existing condition had HCR not passed this year.

7. I think the major discoveries will be nutritional not genetic...
our food chain is so fucked up that most people are getting sick from a lack of nutrients, even when they are able to buy the good stuff to eat.

A lot of people who report symptoms of depression and anxiety have a lack of folate in their blood, amongst other b-group vitamins that should be in our vegetables.

5. While sad and tragic, I don't see how this numbers the country's days -
- she was mentally unstable and I believe abused drugs. Her son inherited her illnesses and followed suit. Sad but certainly not a reflection on the country as a whole.

11. It may not be the "end times"
but, there has to be a major change starting in our politics, at least, "a changing times." If not, "The (now, truly) "Free Market" will insure that the worlds economies crash, which will bring such catastrophe that we'll all wonder if the "rapture", which the rw'ers have been pushing and actually believe in, is here... lol.. can you see "them" ascending into "heaven?"...:wtf:
