Charges, countercharges on 9/11
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/03/25/911.commission/

excerpt:

Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage came under sometimes prickly questioning from those members who saw him as Rice's replacement.

Rice has come under fire for not appearing before the panel.

After panel member Richard Ben-Veniste, a Democrat, referred to Armitage as Rice's "doppelganger," Armitage shot back, "I'm not here as Dr. Rice's replacement. I'm here as someone who's been involved in counterterrorism for several administrations over a long period of time."

Ben-Veniste asked Armitage to comment on statements Rice has made recently in the media. When Armitage said he couldn't because he didn't know what Rice had said, Ben-Veniste asked, "Do you own a television?"

"Yes, and it's generally on. And I won't tell you what it's on," Armitage answered, although in an exchange with Commissioner Tim Roemer, a former Democratic congressman from Indiana, he conceded it's tuned to basketball.

The White House refused to let Rice testify at Wednesday's hearing on the grounds that having a sitting national security adviser give public testimony would infringe on executive privilege.

If "Executive Privilege" prevents these people from speaking under oath - why are they not barred from pandering comments to the news-whores?

1. "Executive Propagandizing"

great question, one I keep asking myself. However, seems like condi has gotten herself in a pickle. She says Clarke was not out of the loop and cheney on limpball says Clarke was out of the loop. But then again, since she isn't under oath, she can spew lies like a Mt. St. Helenes.

4. Have you ever noticed that the woman has almost no chin?
And it seems to be getting smaller all the time, disappearing even more as she talks and talks, lies and lies.

Yeah, she looks angry. But then, she always looked that way when anyone put her on the spot.

The anger is an improvement, sort of. She seems cold without it. Does she have a personal life? Does she have a family, or a significant other? Does she go home to an empty apartment that is as cold and empty as her shriveled heart?

7. O leave off the personal stuff
Clarke is also unmarried. So what. Let's stick to what she does and what she says. bush has a wonderful warm loving family life - or so we are told. And look at hisimpact on the world. Ditto Cheney and all the rest of the fun-loving family guys.
