Dem wants HUD secretary grounded
Source: Politico

One of President Barack Obama’s most strident Democratic critics wants to cause some “personal pain” for a top Cabinet official.

California Rep. Dennis Cardoza will push amendments on the House floor today to cut Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan’s travel budget.

Cardoza is fed up with what he sees as the administration’s failure to act aggressively on housing foreclosures.

“He’s talking about how much he’s doing. I think he fails to understand what’s happening on the ground,” Cardoza said after a tense conversation with the HUD secretary at a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on Thursday. “He has no understanding of what’s happening in the areas such as the Central Valley, and he keeps denying that he’s not deriving effective programs. 1. What is it he wants done?
I read the entire article and nowhere does it explain just how he expects the Administration to stop forclosures? Is this another Obama should snap his fingers and make everything OK again?

Everyone hates that people are losing their homes but there is only so much the Federal Government can do short of Nationalizing the entire Finacial Industry and stopping forclosures...And that is not an option either.

2. Anything Obama came up with would be rejected anyway

And not just by the Repugs, but by this a-hole Cardoza as well.

One thing Obama could do is take the profit from the bank loans and use it to re-write existing mortgages in trouble.
