Shoreline "trashed" in Michigan Oil spill
Source: Detroit Free Press

MARSHALL -- The oil spill that dumped up to a million gallons of crude into the Kalamazoo River is expected to cause long-term damage to at least a 30-mile stretch of once pristine marshes along the river, destroying habitat for resident geese, ducks, frogs, herons, muskrats and swans for possibly years to come.

1. Who's going to pay for this clean up?
What a nightmare for the people and creatures living there. That's why I am fanatical about protecting the great lakes from this horror.

2. what, it hasn't evaporated yet?
wtf is up with that? By now the river and lake should have healed themselves. Maybe we should put BP in charge of the cleanup?

3. I can't believe how quickly this story disappeared from the corporate media.
Hey everyone!!! Look over here!!!! The GOM is all better now!!!

See, we told you that the oil companies are your friends and that they cleaned up all of the damage in MI AND the GOM overnight!!!

What a freaking farce they're feeding us. Sorry, but I don't like farce or BS crammed down my throat.

Oil and Gas Companies.... a superfund site machine in overdrive.
