Foes seek to block start of gay weddings in Calif.
Judge ruled they can resume Aug. 18 if appeals court doesn't step in

SAN FRANCISCO — The sponsors of California's gay marriage ban asked an appeals court late Thursday to stop a federal judge's order allowing same-sex weddings to begin next week.

The lawyers defending Proposition 8 asked the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to impose a stay that would halt gay marriages while the court considers the judge's earlier ruling that struck down the ban.

U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker last week overturned Prop. 8, passed by California voters in 2008, saying it was unconstitutional.

On Thursday, Walker then ruled that same-sex couples could begin marrying next Wednesday unless the appeals court steps in.

That ruling left neither side completely happy.

San Francisco City Hall's steps were lined with gay couples and their supporters hoping for an immediate green light from Walker to wed.

1. As with conflating Terrorism with Islam -
in an attempt to castigate all Muslims as terrorists in the Christian American war on Islam
- so too do the words and language need to be recaptured - it is important for people to
begin questioning how gayness (love that) and marriage is any more destructive on the welfare
of children than any other perceived deviation from the prescribed social behaviour from the moralists.

How can gayness be worse for children than drug addiction, violence, criminality or sexual deviance ?

If gayness is deemed bad for children - and therefore marriage should be banned - then so too should marriage be banned for anyone with
a criminal record, drug addiction / conviction, history of violence etc.

Why is gayness worse than child abuse or paedophilia ? If not - then why are you singling out gays?

Take the game straight back to these people - instead of constantly dismissing their crazy attitudes learn to place them in logical perspective.

This applies to anything these refuckenhooligans go on about - accept their position and apply it too reality - don't dismiss it, or ignore it. Embrace it and reveal it is for what it is - bigotry in its worst form.

Besides - Jesus was clearly gay. I'm an atheist so I can say whatever I want on that subject.

2. Even if you weren't an atheist, you could say whatever you want on that subject.

and the court needs NOT uphold any ruling that is religious based. Prop 8 was wrong from the start and should have never went to court to begin with; the BAN is unconstitutional and they courts/judges who rule other wise atr violating the church state seperation.

Equal rights are not special rights.

4. A great time for the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to go on vacation.
This squealing of filthy bigots really isn't worth their attention. They could be relaxing on a nice beach somewhere away from their phones.
