14. It's not on any Stern site or on Infinity's either-April Fools is my guess
Great idea. Get everyone up in arms just as the Indecency bill stalls.

Indecency Bill Faces Hurdles

WASHINGTON (Billboard) - Key Senate lawmakers say they intend to vote for a bill that would sock broadcast outlets with whopping fines for indecency, according to an informal Billboard poll.

But some Hill staffers say privately that because the House version of the bill is laden with amendments, it may not get to the Senate floor for weeks.

And, if problems persist, it may not get there until fall, or perhaps not at all, they say.

"The leadership only has about 40 or 45 days to pass legislation this year," a Hill insider says. "They don't and won't have time to arm-wrestle."

Mel Karmazin has backed HS throughout the FCC crackdown, including a recent letter of support.

Seeking confirmation. I'll have to lock this if someone doesn't provide confirmation one way or the other...

on edit: Local Stern affiliate says Howard's gone, but even they couldn't confirm for sure...

Howard has always pulled elaborate April Fools jokes. This is almost certainly one, except of course that this one is a lot more serious than they used to be.
