Odigo says workers were warned of attack
By Yuval Dror <mailto:yuvaldr@haaretz.co.il>
Odigo, the instant messaging service, says that two of its workers received messages two hours before the Twin Towers attack on September 11 predicting the attack would happen, and the company has been cooperating with Israeli and American law enforcement, including the FBI, in trying to find the original sender of the message predicting the attack.

Micha Macover, CEO of the company, said the two workers received the messages and immediately after the terror attack informed the company's management, which immediately contacted the Israeli security services, which brought in the FBI.
.........Odigo usually zealously protects the privacy of its registered users, said Macover, but in this case the company took the initiative to provide the law enforcement services with the originating Internet Presence address of the message, so the FBI could track down the Internet Service Provider, and the actual sender of the original message. .....

they were found out, and sent back to Israel. If they were from any other country, they'd be in prison. There were something like 120 of them.

11. I dunno...
This is a "story" that came from that Font of Truth known as Fox News.

120 art students, 120 people of any kind being arrested and deported, will catch the eye of thousands of people, who then go home and call their cousin the reporter or mention it in their blog; many of the eyewitnesses will snap photos or record video in their digital cameras or their cell phones.

Instead we have one uncorroborated story from Fox News, of all places, months after the supposed "event" occurred. The rest of the "articles" are based on the Faux report and have done no investigation on their own other than monger after rumors.

Why is it that the most outrageous tinfoil conspiracy theories are considered plausible as long as Israel is the culprit?

Ariel Sharon was seen fleeing from the scene just before the bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron What's-his-name were discovered. Ehud Barak was the man on the grassy knoll. Shimon Peres was behind the faking of the moon landing. The Roswell incident was an Israeli time machine crash landing.

Am I abusing sarcasm yet?

This is FOX NEWS, people. You wouldn't trust anything else they said, so why this?

15. Not just Fox News
Federal Justice Department flaks have denounced reports of a massive Israeli spy ring as an "urban myth" -- despite solid reporting by Fox News, a French online service -- and by CL. Along with our Tampa sister paper, Weekly Planet, CL was the first American newspaper to obtain, substantially quote from and publish a confidential 60-page Drug Enforcement Administration document detailing the apparent spying by Israeli "art students" who tried to gain access to sensitive federal buildings, military bases and intelligence officials' homes.

A deafening silence is all we got from federal spokesmen. If the reports are true, and they are, then the U.S. intelligence brass either allowed spying by a friendly nation - or were incompetent.

Among other accusations is that the ring was related to high-tech Israeli companies that sold products to the federal government and telecommunications companies. The Israelis, so it is thought, could have monitored federal wiretaps and gained information on every call placed through America's 25 largest phone companies. Many of the 120 Israelis detained in recent months had connections to the companies, as well as backgrounds in electronic intelligence for their country's military.

http://atlanta.creativeloafing.com/2002-03-27/fishwrapper.html

A source familiar with the creation of the document has told CL that the 60-page memo was a draft intended as the base for a 250-page report. The larger report has not been produced because of the volatile nature of suggesting that Israel spies on America's deepest secrets.

Another DEA spokesperson, Rogene Waite, told Associated Press a draft document had been compiled and forwarded to other agencies.

The validity of the scenarios described in the document is attested to in at least one official mention. The Office of the National Counterintelligence Executive, in a March 2001 summary, reported on "suspicious visitors to federal facilities" and noted the type of "aggressive" activity recounted in the document obtained by the Planet.

The nation's most prominent Jewish newspaper, the New York-based Forward, also has confirmed portions of the vast spying network -- although stating that the Israelis were monitoring Arabs in the United States, not trying to access U.S. secrets. Referring to the arrest of five Israeli employees of a New Jersey moving company who were arrested and held for two months after the Sept. 11 attack, Forward on March 15 stated: "According to one former high-ranking American intelligence official, who asked not to be named, the FBI came to the conclusion at the end of its investigation that the five Israelis ... were conducting a Mossad surveillance mission and that their employer, Urban Moving Systems of Weehawken, N.J., served as a front."

22. A number of strange moving company stories were reported after 911
They include not only the incident in New Jersey, but also others in Plymouth, PA, Cloudcroft, NM, Oak Harbor, WA, and somewhere in the Midwest.

On the other hand, these post-911 stories seem to be part of a more general pattern of sleazy business practices and extortion attempts. For example, here's a 2002 story from a Milwaukee paper:

"A Thiensville couple's run-in last week with a Florida-based moving company is the latest in a growing battle by government agencies and consumer watchdogs against strong-arm tactics by such companies, many of them owned and operated by Israeli nationals.

"Consumer advocates charge that a network of such companies routinely engages in questionable, if not illegal, business practices and they frequently change their business name when complaints start to pile up. They also tend to hire young Israeli men just out of the military who come here to make quick money, often without proper work visas, before moving on to vacation in more exotic foreign locales.

<snip>

A September 1997 Jerusalem Post story estimated that more than half of the New York City area's 250-some moving companies were owned by Israeli entrepreneurs, many of whom immigrated to the U.S. in the mid- to late 1980s.

<snip>

"The highly competitive atmosphere spawned 'hellish tales of customers locked in moving trucks, warehouses stuffed with consumers' missing furniture, couches ripped and gouged, and hutzpadik tip requests,' the Post reported."

My best guess would be that the answers are to be found not in Mossad but in the Israeli Mafia and its notorious involvement with Sharon's Likud Party. I've also seen it claimed that the Israeli Mafia controls the Ecstasy trade, which might explain why those "Art Students" were so interested in the DEA. Here's the Salon piece from 2002 on that case: http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2002/05/07/students/index_np.html

23. Similar shady dealing in SoCal
Have heard similar things about small businesses run by Israeli nationals in the Los Angeles area - shady operations, that close shop and vanish once they get into any sort of trouble.

I know a worker's comp attorney who runs into a lot of these - they carry no insurance, when a worker is injured and files a claim, the company just disappears.

Adlai Stevenson supported USS Liberty

Senator Adlai Stevenson III in 1980, his last year as a United States Senator from Illinois, invited Jim Ennes to his Senate office for a private, two hour meeting to discuss the USS Liberty attack and coverup. Following the private meeting, Ennes was invited back the next day to discuss the attack with members of Stevenson's staff, along with members of the staff of Senator Barry Goldwater and members of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

In that meeting, staff members told Ennes that they found his story convincing, but that they would recommend to both senators that they not pursue an investigation because an investigation would only antagonize Israeli interests while "nothing good could come of it." Goldwater accepted that staff recommendation. Stevenson did not. Instead, Stevenson called a news conference in which he announced that he was convinced that the attack was deliberate and that the survivors deserved an investigation. He would, he said, spend the remaining few weeks of his Senate term attempting to arrange for an inquiry.

Almost immediately, the government of Israel contacted the White House and offered to settle the outstanding $40million damage claims for $6million an amount equal to one dollar for each Jewish victim of the Holocaust. Vice President Walter Mondale quickly agreed to that offer just before Christmas while Congress and President Carter were on vacation. The Department of State followed immediately with a press release, reported on the front page of the New York Times, which announced, "The book is now closed on the USS Liberty."

Indeed, from that point on, it was impossible to generate any congressional interest in the Liberty at all. Senator Stevenson's staff told me later that they felt the settlement was directly related to Senator Stevenson's announced plan to hold an inquiry, and was engineered to block forever any inquiry plans. Israel did subsequently pay $6million in three annual installments of $2million each. Secretary of State Dean Rusk said later that he considered the payments meaningless, as Congress merely increased the annual Israeli allotment by that amount.

Adlai Stevenson later ran for Governor of Illinois. He was strongly opposed by Israeli and Jewish interests. He lost. Many feel it was his support for the Liberty that cost him the election. Many also feel it was Stevenson's experience with the Liberty that has intimidated other Members of Congress who might otherwise support the survivors.

Cover Up Claimed In Attack ExAdmiral Questions Facts of Liberty Raid

WASHINGTON (AP) Retired Adm. Thomas Moorer accused the U.S. and Israeli governments yesterday of covering up evidence surrounding the 1967 Israeli attack on the American intelligence ship USS Liberty.

Thirtyfour American crewmen were killed and 171 wounded in the combined air and sea attack June 8, 1967, against the reconnaissance ship, cruising in international waters 15 miles off the Sinai Peninsula during the SixDay War.

Israel maintains its fighter pilots, who buzzed the ship for eight hours before the attack, and torpedo boat crews, mistook the Liberty for an Egyptian ship.

"The Israelis maintain this was simply a case of mistaken identity, but this clearly does not hold water," said Moorer, who was chief of naval operations at the time of the attack. "In clear visibility, this unique ship was very easy to identify.

"The Israeli forces circled the ship and then proceeded to attack over an extended period of time. There is Simply no way the fighter pilots and torpedo boat crews could have come to such a conclusion," he said.

27. The truth is that they were Israelis
and there were witnesses to their behaviour.

I think the Mossad had infiltrated the terrorist network, but like Churchill in 1941, failed to inform our government of the impending attack. Protecting the secrets was more important than protecting the people. This is not the first time such a thing has happened, and it won't be the last.

i'm sick of conspiracy theories that blame every conflict on earth on the malevolent israelis. it's so convenient rather than face the real truth.

it's a cultural war and a country the size of new jersey with a population of 7 million is not the anti-christ or anti-mullah.

opps, but i forgot...there are 14 million jews in the entire world. i wake up each morning with a smile on my face, knowing that even today i've managed to steal and murder and take over another little part of the world. it's so good knowing i pull the strings of the saudis, french, chinese, brazilians, algerians, even the UN.

45. My, my...I seemed to have stepped on a VERY raw nerve...
...wait, don't tell me, it's your very last nerve, right?

What has Israel gained? Surely you jest, but I'll answer your post anyway.

Israel has gained the removal of their most prominent enemy in the Middle East, that of Iraq, without having to fire a single shot or losing a single Israeli life in Iraq. And to top it all off, the NeoCons did it for them based on a pack of lies they presented to the American people as well as the rest of the world as the truth.

Additionally, Israel receives billions of dollars from the U. S. tax-payers every year. Some of this money is sent to political action committees in the U. S. to influence the vote of American politicians in ways which support Israel's position on nearly every single issue.

<http://www.wrmea.com/archives/june2003/0306036.html>

<http://www.mideastfacts.com/9610036_pac_curtiss.html>

I'm personally sick of not facing the facts in this country, and that truth centers on the fact that the Israelis have a pronounced impact on America's foreign policy. It's so convenient for Israeli supporters/operatives to play the "Jews/Israelis are always victims" card, rather than face the real truth.

61. Here's something else I bet you don't know about Hamas...
Analysis: Hamas history tied to Israel
<http://www.upi.com/print.cfm?StoryID=18062002-051845-8272r>

"Israel and Hamas may currently be locked in deadly combat, but, according to several current and former U.S. intelligence officials, beginning in the late 1970s, Tel Aviv gave direct and indirect financial aid to Hamas over a period of years.

Israel 'aided Hamas directly -- the Israelis wanted to use it as a counterbalance to the PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization),' said Tony Cordesman, Middle East analyst for the Center for Strategic Studies.

Israel's support for Hamas 'was a direct attempt to divide and dilute support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative,' said a former senior CIA official."

Have you ever found it interesting that whenever the Israelis and the Palestinians were ready to sit down and talk, Hamas would sponsor another suicide bombing? And that would lead to another Israeli counterattack that would take out their targets and a bunch of civilians as well. Ever think who has the most to gain by NOT coming to the bargaining table?

Oh, quick question for you...who was it that was firing the missiles into Israel during Desert Storm I? Was it the country that "had no interest in israel"?

57. Oil for Israel was another hoped for gain.

Plans to build a pipeline to siphon oil from newly conquered Iraq to Israel are being discussed between Washington, Tel Aviv and potential future government figures in Baghdad.

The plan envisages the reconstruction of an old pipeline, inactive since the end of the British mandate in Palestine in 1948, when the flow from Iraq's northern oilfields to Palestine was re-directed to Syria.

Now,its resurrection would transform economic power in the region, bringing revenue to the new US-dominated Iraq, cutting out Syria and solving Israel's energy crisis at a stroke. (emphasis mine /jc)

It would also create an end less and easily accessible source of cheap Iraqi oil for the US guaranteed by reliable allies other than Saudi Arabia - a keystone of US foreign policy for decades and especially since 11 September 2001.

47. The four part story that disappeared
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/spyring.html

snip: Fox News, alone of all the media, actually ran the story as a four part broadcast, and put the story up on its web site. Then, without explanation, Fox News erased the story from their web site and have never mentioned it again. CNN followed by "Orwellizing" their report of the two hour advance warning of the WTC attacks sent to Odigo employees. But far more telling is the admission made by a US Official in part one of the Fox News report that hard evidence existed linking the events of 9/11 not to Arab Muslims, but to some of the more than 200 Israeli spies arrested both before and after 9/11, but that this evidence had been CLASSIFIED

the Isreali art students

http://atlanta.creativeloafing.com/2002-03-13/fishwrapper.html

Snip: Often the Israeli "students" sold their artwork on street locations near federal buildings. In one incident in Atlanta, they showed up outside an unlisted FBI office and began taking photos, according to sources. Agents collared them and sent them on their way.

92. From the Sunday Herald 2/11/03
Five Israelis were seen filming as jet liners ploughed into the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 ...

Were they part of a massive spy ring which shadowed the 9/11 hijackers and knew that al-Qaeda planned a devastating terrorist attack on the USA? Neil Mackay investigates

THERE was ruin and terror in Manhattan, but, over the Hudson River in New Jersey, a handful of men were dancing. As the World Trade Centre burned and crumpled, the five men celebrated and filmed the worst atrocity ever committed on American soil as it played out before their eyes.

Who do you think they were? Palestinians? Saudis? Iraqis, even? Al-Qaeda, surely? Wrong on all counts. They were Israelis – and at least two of them were Israeli intelligence agents, working for Mossad, the equivalent of MI6 or the CIA.

13. Yes, they were over in NJ watching the towers burn
and appeared to be celebrating. Everyone assumed they were Arabs, but when the police stopped the van later on in the day, it turned out that they were Israelis.

Funny thing with a lot of these terror attacks the road often leads to the Mossad.

The White Van
Were Israelis Detained on Sept. 11 Spies?

June 21 ? Millions saw the horrific images of the World Trade Center attacks, and those who saw them won't forget them. But a New Jersey homemaker saw something that morning that prompted an investigation into five young Israelis and their possible connection to Israeli intelligence.

<snip>

The men were taking video or photos of themselves with the World Trade Center burning in the background, she said. What struck Maria were the expressions on the men's faces. "They were like happy, you know ? They didn't look shocked to me. I thought it was very strange," she said.

<snip>

The arresting officers said they saw a lot that aroused their suspicion about the men. One of the passengers had $4,700 in cash hidden in his sock. Another was carrying two foreign passports. A box cutter was found in the van. But perhaps the biggest surprise for the officers came when the five men identified themselves as Israeli citizens.

32. 1.2.3 Soon to be locked. Here is the DEA report
Edited on Sat Apr-03-04 03:23 PM by Tinoire
The entire DEA report can be found here: http://antiwar.com/rep/DEA_Report_redactedxx.pdf or here: http://cryptome.org/dea-il-spy.htm

A major international espionage saga is unfolding across the United States, with some of its roots right here in the Atlanta area. It's been pretty hush-hush so far, largely because the implications could be a major embarrassment for the government.

The spy story is even more touchy because it isn't Saddam, Fidel, Osama or even what passes nowadays for the KGB spying on America -- but our "friend" in the war against "evil," Israel. The basis of the spy allegations is a 60-page document -- a compilation of field reports by Drug Enforcement Administration agents and other U.S. law enforcement officials.

<snip>

Forward also reported that a counterintelligence probe concluded two of the men were operatives of Mossad, Israel's spy service.

<snip>

The absence of reporting hasn't gone unnoticed. The authoritative British intelligence and military analysis service, Jane's Information Group, on March 13 chided: "It is rather strange that the U.S. media ... seem to be ignoring what may well prove to be the most explosive story since the 11 September attack, the alleged breakup of a major Israeli espionage operation in the United States which aimed to infiltrate both the Justice and Defense departments and which may also have been tracking al-Qaida terrorists before the aircraft hijackings took place."

<Huge reluctant snip>

the point being the right wing channels all its hatred toward cuba and elements of the far left wing use israel as its whipping boy.

Perhaps you're thinking of the lie that Jewish WTC employees stayed home in droves Sept 11. That, I know, has been debunked.

Ha'aretz is a good paper, and can hardly be accused of anti-Israeli bias.

Odigo received a warning, and Odigo acknowledged it.

42. The story was also reported in The Washington Post on Sept 28 '01:
(I don't know what significe that warning has, but I have no reason to doubt it was delivered.)

An official at Odigo today made a more substantial comment on warnings the instant messaging firm received prior to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

The company's vice president of sales and marketing acknowledged that messages warning of attacks were received but would not comment on the contents of the messages. He had replied to a question about whether he could confirm that Odigo had received messages warning about the World Trade Center attacks. A sender in the alt.politics.bush newsgroup had written on Tuesday that Odigo workers received messages two hours before the Twin Towers attack on Sept. 11 predicting the attack would happen. The incident was also the subject of a report in the Ha'aretz daily newspaper in Israel, which on Wednesday quoted Odigo CEO Micha Macover as saying that "two workers received the messages predicting the attack would happen."

Odigo Vice President of Sales and Marketing Alex Diamandis told Newsbytes Thursday that he could not comment on the text or origin of the message, but said that the sender of the instant message was not personally known to the Odigo employees. Even though the company usually protects the privacy of users, Odigo recorded the Internet protocol address of the message's sender to facilitate his or her identification, he said.

The Odigo workers, based in the company's research and development and international sales office in Israel, were signed on to the same Odigo messaging server used by worldwide users of the company's free, Odigo-branded messaging software, Diamandis said today.

however, there is a truth which cannot be denied. 19 radical muslims knowingly and with premeditation smashed 2 jetliners into the WTC on the morning of sept. 11th. almost 3000 people died and 2 enormous buildings came crashing to the earth.

And yet Atta and his Florida companions were coke-snorting, whoring playboys. Witnesses said they seemed more like Mafia than fundamentalists. And the witnesses have been threatened by the FBI to remain silent, including Amanda Keller, Atta's American girlfriend, with whom he lived. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=1328855

After Kennedy was shot, the official story quickly became Oswald was a committed pro-Castro communist, though uncomfortable evidence kept bubbling up that he had deep ties to US intelligence and the radical right, and that his communism was actually his "legend," for cover work, which in the end made him a perfect patsy, just as he claimed before being silenced.

The point? The official "truth" can be denied with disconcerting ease.

How about this article?:

Pentagon Lied: Terrorists Trained at U. S. Bases
<http://www.madcowprod.com/issue06.html>

Excerpt:

"Gaining admittance to the International Officer’s School at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery—which terrorist ringleader Mohamed Atta was reported to have attended—would have required Atta to be someone well-connected with a friendly Arab government. (For the record, the spokesperson denied that the International Officer’s School attendee named Mohamed Atta is the same Mohamed Atta who piloted a passenger plane into the WTC, while repeatedly declining requests for biographical details about a second Arab pilot with the same name as the terrorist.)"

Does Atta still sound like a religious zealot, or does he sound like a Saudi Arabian Naval officer taking a series of military courses taught by the U. S. military?

Maybe you also didn't know this:

FBI Admits: No Evidence Links 'Hijackers' to 9-11
The possibility that 19 Muslim men accused of being the Sept. 11 hijackers were not, in fact, the hijackers, is not so extraordinary an idea as it might seem.

<http://www.americanfreepress.net/051302/FBI_Admits__No_Evidence_/fbi_admits__no_evidence_.html>

Excerpt:

"In an April 19 speech delivered to the Common wealth Club in San Francisco, Mueller said that the purported hijackers, in his words, 'left no paper trial.' The FBI director stated flatly: 'In our investigation, we have not uncovered a single piece of paper—either here in the United States or in the treasure trove of information that has turned up in Afghanistan and elsewhere—that mentioned any aspect of the Sept. 11 plot.'"

52. Re: Israeli Art Students -- I met them . . .
In 2001 I was a professor at a law school in Jacksonville, Florida (now I teach at a law school in Ohio, unfortunately). A group of Israeli art students came to the school to sell their art. Several of them were from Eastern Europe originally. I wanted to support them (I am Jewish) but the art sucked! They went from office to office at our law school. I thought that they were invited by several Jewish students that I knew (there weren't very many Jewish students there actually). I thought nothing of this at the time; I assumed they were exchange students or something.

Flash forward post 9-11 and I keep hearing about these Israeli art students in Florida, that they were monitoring the hijackers in Florida. I don't know if there is any truth to any of this, but I can say for sure that there were Israeli art students in my office in Jacksonville in Winter/Spring of 2001. As to whether they have anything to do with 9-11, I can't say. Interestingly, they were mostly female, and young (under 25).

58. I think we have full rights to criticize Israel without being
accused of being anti-semetic (a misguided label).

I deeply resent the policies of Sharon and the people who back him. MIGHT is with Israel and they don't give a damn about allowing a group of human beings to exist on their own land.

I resent the Palestinians walking away from a peace deal.

We are in trouble morally and financially because of Israel and earth resources.

The current government of Israel does everything imaginable to perpetuate killing. They have the brains and the education to figure out how to live side-by-side and negotiate.

I can't believe that an educated people would perpetuate tit-for-tat murders and the goading of a desparate people.

We in this country are over our heads because of Israel policies, especially under Sharon and others.

History may end up showing that all the technology of 100 years could not conquer primitive retaliation.

This Israel is all about breeding hate when they have the edge for something better.

I do not want to be called an anti-semetic for disagreeing with the policies and leaders of the Israel of today.

so you're saying israel should be held to a different standard because the people are better educated? of course this is while they're being murdered. i suppose if this is kept up israel will cease to exist because of attrition. it has a very low birth rate. eventually, israel will be no more. end of problem.

trains blown up in spain, towers destroyed in NYC, journalists slaughtered on camera in pakistan, groups proudly taking credit for death and mayhem, blowing planes out of the sky over scotland, athletes murdered in munich, threats...intimidation...fatwas.

are they all fantasies?

80. Okay...try this on for size...
Trains blown up in Iraq, towers destroyed in Baghdad, tens of thousands of innocent civilians killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, journalists slaughtered in Afghanistan and Iraq, soldiers proudly taking credit for death and mayhem, blowing a plane out of the sky over Pennsylvania and then creating "heroes" as a cover story, athletes murdered in Iraq, threats...intimidation...global domination.

Are they all fantasies?

Three guesses as to what government would order these things to happen. Why were at least five of these so-called "terrorists" allowed to train at various U. S. military schools?

Three guesses as to why America is now the target of every single "terrorist" that can get their hands on a weapon of any kind.

These people didn't just start attacking American targets at random...they had reasons to do so. If an enemy had invaded and occupied the U. S., what do you think would be the response of Americans everywhere?

78. maybe Israel should stop taking land& bulldozing peoples' houses
Maybe Israel should treat stop taking Palestinian land and moving people into these lands and subisidizing jewish settlements on it.

Maybe Israel should stop bulldozing peoples houses in the middle of the night.

Maybe Israel ought to think about NOT destroying and burning Palestinian crops.

just to name a few things that Israel could stop doing.

82. yes, let's have israel be a sitting duck
no retribution for the death of innocents on a bus or at a cafe. tear the wall down (we can't even allow israel to have a passive defense). it is a wall. they're trying to make it difficult for adolescents with explosives tied around their waist to enter israel. but that's beside the point.
i will not budge from my opinion that radical islam no matter where it is...from abu sayad in the philippines (remember the bombing in bali?) to al qaeda in the middle east (the WTC) wants the west to be a pile of smoldering ashes or converted to islam.

you set a very low standard for civil behavior from the mideast yet demand almost saintlike behavior from the US and israel.

85. That's the point...Israel has exhibited far less than...
..."civil behavior" toward their neighbors in the Middle East.

Remember the Israeli troops breaking the arms of the kids that had the audacity to throw rocks at the Israeli armored vehicles? Do you also recall the bulldozers being used to demolish homes with people still in them? And how about the rocket attacks that take out entire buildings and the people in them just to get a single enemy?

They've set the example, and unless something changes the behavior of all concerned, they will continue to reap what they sow.

91. again, you are spouting mistruths
it is policy in israel to always inform residents of a building so they can flee to safety. the bulldozing is in response to suicide bombings, bringing it home to the family. israel is the most humane country by far in the region. it has western sensibilities (although as far as you're concerned that would be a negative).
of course, the russian method of dealing with terrorists might be more to you liking. going after the families but instead of knocking over a few bricks the relatives meet with very unfortunate (very grizzly) accidents.
the palis also have a unique way of responding to who they believe are collaborators (and israeli soldiers have met that end as well). they seem to take delight in death by mutilation then stringing up on lamposts.

to teach a lesson. how quaint. how urbane.

84. Haaretz could help matters...
If they put the actual date in the story.

No matter what you pull up, it appears to be dated today.

Odigo was acquired by Comverse about two years ago.

It's a unfortunate leap--isn't it?--to so easily imply motives on the part of the original poster.

88. I looked up the title on Google earlier
it's from September twentysomethingorothereth, 2001.

Ha'aretz never dates their reports unless it's been updated (then it shows the updated date & time). The date at the top is just the current date.

98. Okay, this is absolutely not LBN
This was first brought up within hours of the 9/11 attacks. Nothing new is in this story, making it simply a rehashing of the same old story. Therefore, it is not LBN. Locking.
