Christine O'Donnell's campaign finances scrutinized (U.S. Attorney, FEC investigate complaints)

U.S. Attorney, FEC investigate complaints

WASHINGTON -- Christine O'Donnell pledged to keep fighting after losing her Senate bid. She may make good on that pledge, but not exactly as she planned.

Campaign finance complaints the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and the Delaware Republican Party filed in September are still pending against O'Donnell, who lost to Democrat Chris Coons on Nov. 2.

Federal prosecutors in Delaware are reviewing CREW's complaint that O'Donnell used campaign contributions for personal living expenses, said Kim Reeves, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for Delaware. She declined to comment on the status of the review.

...

Tea Party Express spokesman Levi Russell called the state party's complaint "totally groundless," and O'Donnell's lawyer, Cleta Mitchell, called it "stupid." Mitchell also referred to CREW's complaint as a "hit piece" by the group's executive director, Melanie Sloan. Mitchell declined to provide information she has sent to the FEC defending O'Donnell's actions.

3. Cutey little sweetie O'Donnell
Actually, it's more important to investigate how Sarah Palin covered up her Canadian birth certificate.

5. But it's pretty lucrative!
I'm sure that's why Alvin Green did it. I don't think he thought it up himself but don't you think DeMint's crew explained to him, in words and pictures, how they would pay the filing fee and he could keep everything that was donated? I've heard he's been inquiring how much it would cost to run for president.

9. That is NOT true.
They investigated Alvin Greene and the findings were that he used his military exit pay and tax refunds that were in his savings to pay for the filing fee, just like he said he had done.

11. Are Christine O' Donnell yard signs a "Teabagger Lives Here" designation?
Like those old hobo signs or blood on a door lentil? I ask because her campaign signs have been popping up here in Central Virginia ever since the "not a witch" lost.
