Air Force plans for low-altitude flight training run into civilian turbulence
Source: Denver Post

The Air Force says about 94,000 square miles in southern Colorado and New Mexico is great land to train pilots to fly in Afghanistan — the topography is similar and the space vast, yet pocketed with small populations.
--

Republican U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn of Colorado Springs, whose district includes the proposed fly area, wrote a letter of support for the training in October. He hasn't heard from any residents in his district who are against it.

"In my district, we support the military," Lamborn said. "If they're training to protect the freedom of this country, it's something a lot of Coloradans support. The occasional tiny sacrifice is worth it."

1. Finding training space is a perennial problem for the military
Honestly I would love to see an F22 flying at 500 feet.

You won't see any F22s but there are plenty of IDF F16s killing innocent civilians...

3. The dying Empire's war machine is fucking up our environment
here in Tucson all the time...

It's Snowbird time now. So we have the LOUD Harriers practicing their Baghdad/Kabul strafing/bombing runs over our homes at 10/11pm at night...

The sound of the fucking dying Empire...

And they want to bring the fucking F35s to town -- twice as noisy, four times as obnoxious, 10 times as dangerous...

We're fighting the bastards tooth and nail though...
