Assange: Danish govt requested files the US refused to give them
Source: Ekstrabladet.dk

Men danskerne fik nej, siger Assange.

Translation: The Danish Department of Defense has requested, and been given, confidential files from Wikileaks that the US government refused to hand over.

Julian Assange said this in an interview he just gave via Skype to journalists at the Arij conference for investigative Arabic jouranlism in Amman, Jordan.

The Danish Dept of Defense are investigating whether Danish troops handed Iraqi prisoners over (To the Americans i presume) to be tortured. They requested War logs from the US military, but they refused.

The Danish military confirms that they have the documents, but that the US military gave it to them, and not Wikileaks.

7. So our allies should not know when they are being duped into
breaking international law?

13. The Danish government was not really being duped, but
it has been trying to cling on to plausible deny-ability regarding its part in the US "rendition" and torture programs. There has been an unholy alliance between our local right wing politics and the US government.

9. Assange is cleaning up the mess the Military Industrial Complex has created, first by shining light
on the mess. Have you ever cleaned your own house? You need to know where the mess is.
