G20 law gave cops 'wartime' power, ombudsman says

The G20 summit regulation that expanded police search powers entrapped legitimate protesters and "likely" violated the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Ontario’s ombudsman said Tuesday.

"I'm convinced the regulation was unnecessary and probably illegal," Andre Marin told a news conference.

"Here in 2010 is the province of Ontario conferring wartime powers on police officers in peacetime."

"Perversely, by changing the rules of the game without real notice, Regulation 233/10 acted as a trap for the responsible -- those who took the time to educate themselves about police powers before setting out to express legitimate political dissent," he said in his report Tuesday.

G 8 and G 20 Summits are illegal under our constitution.

If you wonder why it is that American jobs were pushed overseas, look to the acronym agencies, the
G 8, G 20, IMF and WTO.

Very scary imperatives held by those groups. The groups have spelled out again and again that Americans must be a consumerist nation, without jobs. And now we are heading in the direction where even our food is imported.
