Emmer concedes governor's race to Dayton
Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune

Republican Tom Emmer conceded the governor's race to DFLer Mark Dayton, bringing an end to the disputed election results.

Emmer's announcement on the front steps of his Delano home clears the way for Dayton to take office on schedule on Jan. 3, and become the first Democratic governor in two decades.

certain aspects of our "well respected Nationally" Election Law. With the race behind them, the Republican majority in both Houses they will surely attempt to introduce Laws that will chip away at out system. I will put money on this one.
And on a side note.... Congratulations to our home boy from the Dayton's Department Store/Target!

6. Quitter!
Geez, Emmer, no staying power at all. Norm Coleman is going to give you the raspberry at every meeting of the Sore Losers Club from now until St. Swithins' Day.

On a related note, if this is going to become a habit with Republicans, Minnesotans should consider the concept of provisional seating for the winners of disputed elections so that offices don't sit vacant for weeks or even months while the sore losers pursue every available (and a few unavailable) avenue to overturn the election results.
