Microsoft warns on IE browser bug
Source: BBC

Microsoft has issued a warning about a serious vulnerability in all versions of its Internet Explorer (IE) browser.

If exploited by a booby-trapped webpage the bug would allow attackers to take control of an unprotected computer.

Code to exploit the bug has already been published though Microsoft said it had no evidence it was currently being used by hi-tech criminals.

A workaround for the bug has been produced while Microsoft works on a permanent fix.

2. If you still use IE at this point
then you can't but expect that your machine will be hacked through it

this was true 10, 15 years ago, and nothing has changed

This is why integrating the browser tightly with the OS was a terrible idea - DoJ should have broken up Microsoft over it.

Mozilla Firefox. I've even been known to install it on computers at jobs I've had.

9. Haven't used Exploder in many years
That's with the exception of certain government websites that require it and the last two places of employment, where IE6 was and is still used (??!!).

10. I'm a web designer and hate IE however,
Though many folks are getting smarter, a lot of corporations still push IE on its employees and their IT departments won't install other browsers, cause they don't want to deal with additional updates that aren't wrapped up in Windoze.

It's a shame corps aren't smarter about how they interact with their computers.
