Biden chief of staff leaving White House
Source: CNN

(CNN) – Vice President Joe Biden's top aide is departing the White House.

Ron Klain, Biden's chief of staff, will leave his post in late January. Klain is a former member of the Clinton administration and an attorney who played a key role in the 2000 Florida recount. He was portrayed by Kevin Spacey in the HBO movie "Recount."

"For 25 years, Ron Klain has been my friend and adviser. As my chief of staff in the White House, Ron has done an exceptional job of building my team, implementing my direction on top priorities, and providing invaluable counsel," Biden said in a statement."

"He has also played a key role in establishing the strong, positive relationship that exists between my staff and the President's team. I am proud of the successes we have had over these two years, and am grateful for the role Ron played in achieving them. I wish him the best of luck as he takes this next step in his career," added Biden.

1. *** UPDATE *** The New York Times has more:
Mr. Klain will become president of Case Holdings, the parent company of the investment company named for his old boss, former AOL chief Steve Case, the official said."
"Mr. Klain had been mentioned as a possibility to replace Rahm Emanuel as Mr. Obama’s chief of staff. But the president is now in talks with former Clinton administration Commerce Secretary William Daley. In any event, Mr. Klain decided to take Mr. Case’s job offer in part because it was the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come along often, the official said."

2. "A key role in the 2000 Florida recount"? Teh uber fuckup?

A) Get the results in ASAP then exercise the automatic right to full recount (differential .5%) or
B) Get deferrals then recounts in specific precincts, requiring court action with appeals SCOTUS twice?

A = Al
B = Bush

3. It is a good thing when any member of the clinton adminstration
leaves the Obama administration.They just want to undermine him and try to get hillary elected in 2012.

hillary was down in Brazil with their new female president saying they both want to restore the middle class. That would be nice since her husband was so instrumental in destroying it.

4. Time for some new blood anyway.
They have too many of the old cronies in Obama's administration.
He needs to reach out and hire some young guns that will fire his administration back up and generate new ideas and new ways to deal with the looming crisis' ahead.

He needs to fill more posts with more black people because I have been hearing some complaints that they got him into the White House, only to be forgotten by him.
I think that is a little unfair, but something he needs to counter ASAP.
