2. awesome
Although, to be fair, the bulls sometimes wind up getting the matador, but I'd hardly call bullfighting a sport.

5. Yes, I have seen that happen.
Before the time when I became an animal rights advocate, I went to a bull fight in Mexico City. Well, the bull got the matador in place where it could have changed his voice to soprano. But I was shouting "Ole!" for the bull.

7. YAY!**** I can go to Espana now.
I have never been to Spain and vowed I would never go until they outlawed this incredibly cruel and lame excuse for a sport.

And now, I can. :)

Viva la Espana!

Muchas gracias para su intelligencia, y quiza un poco de su listo lo vas a resonar con nosotros aqui en los Estados Unidos!

10. People in Barcelona have always seen bullfighting as an atrocity...
...they tend to look down on Madrid because of that city's love of this so-called sport. I love Barcelona even more now because of this.

14. it's not a sport
It's an art. Do I condone it? No, but I am not culturally arrogant either. Barcelonans are Catalonian in identity more than Castilian, culturally, so it wasn't that much of a stretch to take this measure.

15. Wow! I am so excited. I went to one as a 21 year old on a trip to
Europe (it was part of the package.) I was so appalled that I was almost physically ill by the end. Otherwise I love Spain, especially Barcelona.

17. Never that popular in Catalonia in the first place
The Plaza de Toros in Barcelona never got more than half full any way...and half of those present were British or American tourists. Most of the rest were Andalusian temporary workers.
