11. Nader should appeal, if he does not mind risking the legal fees
Edited on Thu Jan-06-11 09:48 AM by No Elephants
"The Ballot Project and Toby Moffett filed a motion for attorney fees after the case was tossed in mid-November.

Ballot Project Inc. was formed to keep Nader off state ballots. It and Moffett get to share the dollar."

If the OP article is right, not sure what the judge was thinking.

5. Nader didn't cause Bush to win,
Gore's ineffective campaign did. I thought as you did regarding this issue, but Ralph is right. Gore was a boring campaigner.

12. I'm confused - is that dollar the amount of costs he's awarded them?
"The Ballot Project and Toby Moffett filed a motion for attorney fees after the case was tossed in mid-November."

So this is in the news now because some decision has just been made; since the case had already been tossed, the only decision I can see that was left was how much they could claim in lawyers' fees. By setting it at $1, the judge seems to have been saying "you should never have employed any lawyer in the first place". Was Nader's lawsuit really so pathetic that it didn't need a lawyer to say why it should be dismissed?
