Exclusive: President Michele Bachmann?
Source: ABC News

Forget the fervent chatter speculating that Tea Party favorite Rep. Michele Bachmann is considering launching a campaign to challenge Sen. Amy Klobuchar for the Minnesota U.S. Senate seat in the next national election cycle. Think bigger.

ABC News has learned that Bachmann, R-Minn., also is seriously weighing whether to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

~snip~

Although aides in Bachmann's congressional office said she has received frequent encouragement from supporters to challenge President Obama next year, they would not confirm quite yet that she officially was throwing her hat into the ring.

However, Bachmann's senior staff did admit the Minnesotan is not ruling out a presidential campaign. "Nothing is off the table," Bachmann chief of staff Andy Parrish told ABC News when asked whether the Iowa trip signaled Bachmann's intent to run for president. "The congresswoman is excited about her first trip to Iowa this year."

Not just the rabble listen to, and feverishly believe every lie, of Fox "news". The repig pols do too, and the endless drumbeat of "(re)pig good, Democracy bad" inflames their febrile reptilian "brains" as well. IOW, the repig politicians are just as brainwashed as their voters. Living in a bubble just like their messiah shrub (ex-president Cheney's errand boy).

15. Don't laugh too loudly just yet
I think all this slapstick politics is a tactic (very Rove-like) to entertain the masses and keep
attention focused everyplace other than that dark corner where people like Rove, Luntz, Murdoch,
Koch, etc. can plot who they REALLY want for the Republican nomination. Even if their candidate
is Forrest Gump, he'll come across looking like a Rhodes Scholar after the two year side show
provided by Palin, Bachmann and Huckabee.

"Presidential candidacies" of those three should be regarded as the Looney Tunes cartoon they used
to show at the movies as a warm-up to the horror feature afterward.

21. Agreed.
I, too, think the Republican party leaders see the value in Bachmann and the other far-right freaks taking headlines, that only makes their medicore and damaged goods like Romney look acceptable.

But I also think Bachmann sees how Palin has cashed in and gotten wealthy with here freak show and knows she can take that to a whole new and profitable level. I don't believe either Palin or Bachmann want higher office (I think Bachmann may actually wish that the 2010 Census data would have meant Minnesota would lose a seat in the House and she would have been re-districted out of office - she could have parlayed that into a mega bucks FOX News and chicken dinner circuit whiny victim deal. She was telling constituents to not participate in the Census. And Minnesota came very, very close to losing a House seat, something demographers predicted a few years ago).

On the up side, I guess, is that with that freak rounding around Iowa, that would take attention away from ex-Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who threw the state of Minnesota under the bus in his attempt to woo national Republicans for the 2012 candidacy. Pawlenty seems to be every bit as evil as Bachmann or Palin or Rove, but sells an, "Aw, shucks, I'm just a blue collar kid from South St. Paul, son of a truck driver, who thinks government is just too darn intrusive." But if you look at what happened to Minnesota via his actions and obstructions, you will see something very dark. A recent story about him in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune had some telling quotes from family and friends he grew up with (http://www.startribune.com/politics/local/112529819.html).

27. Michele Bachmann Plans Iowa Trip; Is a 2012 Bid on Tap?
Source: CBS News

Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann, a Tea Party favorite, may be considering a 2012 presidential bid - a possibility that her chief of staff confirms is not "off the table," according to ABC News.

In recent weeks, speculation swirled around the possibility that the Minnesota congresswoman might challenge the state's Democratic Senator, Amy Klobuchar, for her seat in 2012.

Now, amid reports that Bachmann has set a number of public appearances and private meetings in Iowa - a key primary state and popular first stop for prospective presidential candidates - it appears that the conservative Republican may have set her sights on higher ground.

41. how many of her teabagger followers don't have a clue
After watching KO last night and the mention of how much money hedge funders donated to candidates like Bachman-these same cretins who got us into this mess in the first place, and on the Today Show this morning she was showing a graph of how much the deficit went up under Obama. The clueless do not realize that eight years of Little Boots and his allowing his friends to police themselves have gotten us into this mess. In order to bailout us out of this mess, is going to take rather extreme measures. Also, I wonder if her little graph denotes that part of the graph would designate Little Boots budget. Of course, she's not going to tell her clueless constituency.

It's amazing that the very same folks that got us into this mess, now say they have the solutions. And you betcha it's going to cause mainstreet even more pain while shoveling more moolah to their real base, the hedge funders and wallstreet.

43. Spot on
The deficit grew under Bush more than twice as much as it went up under Obama and it was inherited debt
but that is glossed over.

If it was "astounding" under Obama, what adjective would she use for it under Bush ?
Childishly, she can't even use the correct name of the health care legislation, instead linking fear to the bill
and the president himself.

And yes Michele, bring back deregulations so companies like BP can do more damage or Enron and destroyed
peoples lives.

Jobs, unemployment, debt, she has no idea about how any of this happened or how to fix it or even comprehends
we are no longer #1 anymore, that's what happens to empires who extend themselves for too long. We have to
become part of the global economy if we are to compete and survive in this new world.

Just follow Palin's lead and fade off into a reality show.
