Polish troops kill top Sadr aide in Kerbala-police

KERBALA, Iraq, April 7 (Reuters) - Polish troops killed the head of militant Iraqi cleric Moqtada al-Sadr's office in Kerbala during clashes in the holy Shi'ite city on Wednesday, Iraqi police said.

Police spokesman Rahman Mashawi told Reuters Murtada al-Mussawi, who ran Sadr's Kerbala office, was killed in fighting with Polish troops in the centre of town.

There was no immediate comment from Polish forces, who head a multinational division in the area.

1. Well that does not sound good.

For people who still hate the Ottoman Turks, these are not good people to make mad. They do recall all this stuff. I frankly thing even our grandchildren should not plan vacations in this part of the world.

3. My wife is Polish...

and the Iraqis killed a Polish Officer a couple of months ago...a sniper attack with no real motive, the Poles are in a generally peaceful area.

Looks like the shit is starting to spread to other areas.
