4. That he was
He had some smoking stuff that was under the radar of "big music inc". I'd turn people on to it 'Victims of the Future' and people were like, "wow, that's great, who is THAT?" and they never heard of him.

RIP

5. That was the album that got me into him...
Got it in the mid 80's shortly after it came out. I was hooked from there.

3. How sad
I've been a fan of his solo work since SRV died. He filled the void in my album collection. One of my favorite blues guitar CDs of all time is a live bootleg disc by Gary Moore. He was a great Representative of the Albert King blues rock genre (less rhythm more blues).

I guess 58 is old in rockstar years, but he'll be sadly missed.
Thanx for posting, I'll be watching for more details.

11. Thanks for posting, really love his music.
I had some neighbors who insisted playing their music much too loud. After having had enough one day I turned on Parisienne Walkways and cranked up the sound. I haven't had any trouble with them since then. Thank you Gary Moore and may you rest in peace.

30. I saw him in concert back in 1983.

He opened for Krokus and Def Leppard and he blew them away.

31. Saw him open for Rush the same year...
Don Airey on keys and IIRC think Ian Paice from Deep Purple on drums - and he was booed offstage, which was a shame because he was pretty spectacular. He was in his more metal god phase at that point and I don't think he did Parisian Walkways, but he was still really good, for the short period of time he was on :-(

35. I was so bummed when I heard this news yesterday.
He was such a great guitarist, and quite underappreciated. I particularly liked his blues albums. I always hoped I'd have the opportunity to see him in concert. He was only 58; that's way too young to leave us. RIP Gary.
