Mexico army rescues 44 kidnapped CentAm migrants

MEXICO CITY — Mexico's Defense Department says soldiers rescued 44 Guatemalan migrants who had been locked up by kidnappers in a house in the northern city of Reynosa.

The department says three Mexican migrants were also rescued when soldiers found the 37 men and 10 women Tuesday as part of their work against drug traffickers. A statement from the department says no one was arrested.

Reynosa is across the border from McAllen, Texas. It is in Tamaulipas state, where 72 migrants from Central and South America were slain last August in a massacre that authorities blame on the Zetas drug cartel.

1. I read story where this cartel kidnapped a guy, got the ranson, let him go
figured he was good for even more money, chased down the car his family drove him away in, and kidnapped him AGAIN!
