Knife removed from man's head after four years
Source: The Telegraph

A Chinese man has had a four-inch blade surgically removed from his head after four years of self-medication with painkilling injections.

Mr Ni had been suffering from severe headaches for more than four years before seeking treatment for what he suspected was an aural disease.

After taking X-rays of his head, doctors were shocked to find a four-inch blade lodged in his brain.

(snip)

Previous hospital examinations had found no cause of the symptoms.

Video at the link showing his incredible x-rays. It's simply amazing that he didn't die from this years ago.

The X-rays are indeed freaky. It looks like the blade has some chunks that have corroded away.

2. Don't you think he shoulda remembered getting stabbed in the head?
Or maybe for the same reason he couldn't remember anything. But some friend or relative should have come forward to say, "Daddy got stabbed in the head with a great big knife."

11. Now this would be a good plot for a movie.
Imagine thinking you murdered someone just to have him show up at dinner with a complaint of a headache. And then life goes on without him ever knowing that you were the one that put the blade in his cranium.

8. If this happened in the U.S., the hospital would really stick it to him.

17. How very odd that you post that here tonight, of all
nights.

This was part of the plot on tonight's "Gray's Anatomy." On the TV show, a drunk guy came to the ER with a knife in his head.

20. Reminds me of a friend of mine from my college years..........
He used to tell horror stories about his summers working as an emergency room aide in a hospital near Tinker AFB. Every payday they would have to patch up some redneck who'd been injured in a bar fight. One of the more memorable incidents was a guy who'd been injured with a hatchet. X-rays showed the hatched was lodged right between the lobes of his brain.

Tinker couldn't treat him, so they immobilized the hatchet with bandages and drove him to a hospital in Oklahoma City, sitting up all the way so he wouldn't move the hatchet.

I know he was probably in a closed ambulance and the bandages would cover the hatchet anyway; but, there was something about the image: Imagine driving down the highway; you look in the other lane, and there's a guy, calmly sitting up, with a hatchet in his head! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Freak out! :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
