Amateur footage shows mass burial site in Tripoli
Source: Telegraph

The video released by OneDayOnEarth purports to show a burial spot being prepared in the Libyan capital following days of violence there
The footage's release comes as Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi vowed defiance in the face of a mounting revolt against his 42-year rule.

Gaddafi's forces have cracked down fiercely on demonstrators, with fighting spreading to the capital Tripoli after erupting in Libya's oil-producing east.

Human Rights Watch said at least 233 people had been killed in five days of violence in Libya, opposition groups put the figure much higher. No independent verification of these numbers has been made available.

3. Not so much that
I'm trying to figure why they would bury bodies on a beach. I know that the Mediterranean has no tides as such but they do get storm damage to beaches.

5. Tripoli is surrounded by desert. You'd think it would be better.
The population is more concentrated on the seacoast -- more witnesses.
