Tajura, outside Tripoli, falls to rebels

Amazing: I hear by phone that Tajura, #Libya , less than 10 miles from Tripoli, has fallen. Rebel flag flying over it.

While I think the handwriting is on the wall for Gaddafi, I also think it's going to be impossible to dislodge him from Tripoli unless internal military forces turn on him (instead of just defecting) or unless foreign force is used. And, I think he's willing to take down as many people as possible when he goes.

3. Tobruk isn't Tajura
Tobruk is on the eastern end of the country, near Egypt.

2. buh bye gaddafi....
Hell, if he's afraid of a little rain getting on him, he's not martyr material. He'll take his money and run to Saudi. At least I hope so.

It just amazes me that Kuwait, Saudi (and maybe others) provide cradle to grave welfare/subsidies. Too many people and dwindling oil reserves makes for NOT a pretty picture.

I just pray that Religion does not fill the power vacuums. I don't want to see any more theocracies.

Maybe Egypt and Tunisia will become more democratic than the US!! We're ruled by Corporations...a nice little fascist nation.

5. I have a sneaking suspicion his old pal Berlusconi
has offered him a fancy villa and plenty of protection for a platinum and diamond encrusted retirement in Italy.

However, the one thing I know about the man from reading his crap for years is that he's just nuts enough to want to stay and take as many Libyans with him as possible. His nuttiness won't allow him to admit it's over, he's not the great savior of his people he thinks he is, and it's time to get out of Dodge.

4. Why
In the name of heaven we call these people rebels and not freedom fighters?
