Afghan bombs: Eight dead at Kandahar dog fight
Source: BBC

Eight people have been killed by two bombs at a dog fight in the volatile southern Afghan province of Kandahar.

The blasts on Sunday occurred in Arghandab district, on the outskirts of Kandahar city, a police spokesman said. Five policemen were injured.

No group has yet said it carried out the attack, but the Taliban regularly target large public gatherings.

Dog-fighting competitions, which were banned under the Taleban regime, are a popular pastime in Afghanistan.

2. even a broken clock is right twice a day
"Dog-fighting competitions, which were banned under the Taleban regime"

No word in the article on the fate of the dogs. The (random fighting) dog in the picture is beautiful.

3. Terrorism and dogfights...something LARGE in common
Both show a total lack of empathy and understanding of the value of life. Both are cruel and inhumane. Finally, they have gotten together. Seeking entertainment in watching 2 animals fight to the death and killing innocent beings to make a political/religious statement ARE BOTH WRONG. The only good thing that came out of this event is that there are less people alive who want to be entertained by bloodsport. Perhaps others will hesitate to gather for bloodsport entertainment....
How can we have such a wonderful, miraculous world with so many beautiful possibilities available and still coexist with the evil of terrorism and bloodsport?

4. Then there are the popular NFL football quarterbacks who support dog fighting
That are forgiven because of their football skills.
