THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Cities and counties, villages and townships take a disproportionate hit in Gov. John Kasich's proposed budget, local government leaders said yesterday.

The two-year budget would cut state funding for local governments about 25 percent in the first budget year, starting on July 1, plus another 25 percent approximately in the second year. In all, the Kasich budget would cut $555.3 million in local-government funding through June 30, 2013.

2. that's what I don't get about the buyer's remorse in Ohio
A recent poll showed that Strickland would crush Kasich if the election were held today. I know of a teacher who had some grudge against Strickland and refused to vote for either candidate.

How did people not see this coming?

4. The propaganda was deep during the election
The M$M and the GOP poured a lot of effort into taking this state, it was critical part of their effort to take American down.

What they are doing right now will hurt the Democrats chances in 2012 for regaining this state and maybe even future presidential elections. The gerrymandering will commence soon and make this state even worse than Texas congressional districts.
