Global paedophile network smashed
Source: The Guardian

A global online paedophile network has been smashed in a worldwide police operation that has led to hundreds of arrests and many convictions.

The investigation exposed more than 50,000 members in the UK, US, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand, where some of the first arrests were made.

A total of 230 children are said to have been taken out of danger, 60 of them in the UK. Worldwide, 184 suspects have been arrested, 121 of them in Britain.

Details were revealed at a press conference in The Hague, the Netherlands, where the website's server was based.

5. So only 184 out of 50,000
were arrested? That's not even a dent.

8. The size of the "network" may be exaggerated for PR reasons.
I have a hard time believing that you could really have an organization of that size and that nature without previously getting caught.

13. Thank you --
Yesterday I saw a story on this which wasn't as complete as this and I didn't post it --

Certainly there are sex-slave routes running thru US now --

This is what the rise of the right wing brings -- sexual perversion and sexual assault --

of women and chidlren.

17. My friends in law enforcement have hinted
at just how huge and pervasive this stuff was. They would even kidnap children, according to physical attributes, train them for 6-12 months, then deliver a sex slave, all ready for use to the ultrarich. The biggest consumers? Saudi Arabia (they love blond kids, boys and girls), Kuwait, China, the US, and several others.

I am really glad they finally began to break this thing apart.

19. we just had a report of a woman in Maine
that was abusing her 36 month old via internet cam with a man from the UK. She claims he coerced her into it....I wonder if this is part of the same ring. Woman was arrested and all four children taken out of her custody.

Friggin' scum bags.

21. So incredibly frustrating
A 3 yr old has so few defenses, the mother being the first-line of defense, so when mother fails, that child is pretty much helpless. And to make it even worse, these kids grow up with some real skewed ideas regarding what makes them worthwhile and may continue to feed the porn industry.

From what I have seen, women who are abused as children, may pass that on to their children, maybe it is subconscious, but really; how did this UK jack-off find this woman?
