3. I take it that Heller is running for Senate?

She could very well win. I'm sure she beat Reed in that district (and it's been "R" for some time).

But the district was at least mildly competitive the last time it was open (though 2006 was a good year for us).

Sounds like we could get free entertainment if she's in the House.

5. As one Republican put it: “She has to be stopped.”

Also from the article:

Other potential candidates in the primary include: Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki, Nevada Republican Chairman Mark Amodei, state Sen. Greg Brower and former U.S.S. Cole Commander Kirk Lippold.

I don't know anything of Nevada politics, but after seeing Engle so much on the news last year I've got serious doubts that she can beat the Lt. Governor if he runs. But it will certainly be entertaining!!

6. McCain won this district by about 1 point, it's a lean-republican
which means there are probably alot of moderates and independants who aren't going to want a nut-job reprsenting them.

8. Nevada has three Congressional Districts.
Edited on Wed Mar-16-11 06:04 PM by happyslug
Basically it is Las Vegas is District 1
District 3 is the "suburbs" South, West and East of Las Vegas
District 2 (The District she is running in) is 95% of the rest of the State (miles of Miles of Miles of Miles and very few people).

For more details of each district see:

9. I wish her almost as much success as she had in her Senatorial/Second Am. remedies campaign.
Could ANYthing be more disrepectful of America and the rule of law than suggesting that people who win a fair election be murdered, simply for winning a fair election? Or implying such a murder is a civil right, ffs? Talk about a Big Lie!

We don't call 'em "Rethugs" for nothing!
