Classified Section of 9/11 Report Details Saudi Links

Classified sections of Congress' Sept. 11 report lay out a web of connections among Saudi businessmen, royal family, charities and banks that may have aided al-Qaida or the suicide hijackers, according to people who have seen the report.

The report raises the possibility that one or more Saudi men who were connected to some of the hijackers or their acquaintances were tied to Saudi intelligence. It also suggests a Muslim imam in the United States may have been a facilitator for some hijackers, the sources said, speaking only on condition of anonymity.

Bad News for the Smirk and his handlers.

Aren't there a lot of "ifs" and "maybes" in this report? I don't think that's necessarily bad for the administration..

5. Hard to see how it's good for Shrub...

The basic facts have been public all along--The hijackers were Saudis, Bin Laden is of a prominent Saudi family, the money is Saudi (that's where the money -is-), the whole admin came out of the oil industry and is closely tied to the Saudis, the Saudi royals have long tolerated and encouraged terrorism against Israel and Islamic radicals, etc.

This is political poison for Shrub, but has never got enough airtime to penetrate the mind of the Average American.

From the leaked reports, it appears that the blank section adds some tantalizing detail. The media almost -have- to report this. Hopefully, these leaks weaken the dam and release the flood.

4. Saudi connection may be a smokescreen to hide PNAC.

The anonymous sources could be Right Wing plants to lead the public into believing that the redacted pages involve another government and not our own government.

7. You seem confused.....

There is no evidence, NONE, that 'our government' was directly involved in planning 9/11 or had -detailed- information of the plans.

There is overwhelming evidence of incompetence, ideological blinders, over-fondness for the Saudi royals, etc.

It is completely necessary to maintain focus on the provable and plausible accusation. Leave the tin-foil hats on the shelf for a while.
