Al Qaeda Suicide Attack Detected in Tehran Friday Prayers

TEHRAN (MNA) –- Security forces neutralized an Al Qaeda-led suicide operation in Tehran, a news site reported here Monday.

The operation was meant to be carried out on Friday during a burial ceremony for the remains of 350 martyrs of the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war in Tehran.

Following the terrorist operations in Karbala on Ashura day, three Al Qaeda members intended to carry out a suicide attack last Friday after the Tehran Friday prayers.

However, police forces from a security body arrested them Thursday evening while they were wearing several explosive belts and a certain amount of explosives.

What's the geopolitical point of this?

George W is going to be miffed, because they got there before he did.

What an interesting development. The script that George has been playing by has been saying that Iran is one of the states sponsoring terrorism, and of course, in the public mind, terrorism =Al Qaeda=Sept 11.

But Al Qaeda intends to victimize Iran as surely as it wishes to victimize the US. George W has Americans thinking that they are pretty much one and the same.

Here we go again. Qadaffi was also fingered by Al Qaeda, and had been nearly asassinated by them on a number of occasions -- which is why he had his change of heart, NOT because he was frightened of the manly resolve of George W in preemptively attacking Iraq, which is what the reichmeisters are telling us.

So where is Al Qaeda getting its cash from? Not from Iran. The answer would seem to be militant members of the Saudi aristocracy -- or perhaps covertly from western governments which want to push for a final confrontation.
