Twins born with two heads, single body
Source: MSNBC.com

Conjoined twin baby girls with a single body and two heads have been born at a hospital in southwestern China.

According to the local Huaxi Metropolis Daily, the twins weighed 9 pounds and measured 20 inches. They have two spines and two esophaguses but share other organs.

Doctors said it would be nearly impossible to separate them.

"It is hard to say how they will survive in the future, but we will try the best to keep them alive at the moment," Britain's Daily Telegraph quoted Dr. Pu Youhua as saying

7. They are working very hard at a normal life...
I wish them the best and in keeping with their wishes, that the world leaves them alone. It sounds like they have really adapted incredibly well.

11. Even the idea of tandem hearts working together in the same circulatory system
is fascinating. How do they sync up? Do they need to? What is their blood pressure like? Questions questions questions. But I don't blame them for not wanting to subject themselves to medical study.

What an amazing circumstance. All those organs 'out of spec', and yet they live, and are happy and healthy.

6. I've always been amazed at those two...
It's cool how they their brains and body work together. I can barely walk and chew bubble gum at the same time, and I only have one brain.

8. Lots of challenges ahead.
It's amazing that this kind of thing can happen, yet, as the similar twins in Minnesota demonstrate, it's entirely possible for such twins to lead pretty normal lives. You can see links for the Minnesota twins, who are doing quite well, and are now adults, just above this post.
