Airstrike leaves 15 dead in Yemen
Source: Press TV

At least 15 people have been reportedly killed after the Yemeni government launched an airstrike against tribes near the capital city of Sana'a.

The attack took place on Tuesday after tribesmen tried to prevent regime forces from moving towards the south, Press TV reported.

The forces were heading to the cities of Ma'rib and Hadhramaut, as part of the government's efforts to quell opposition protests.

Earlier on Tuesday, clashes between regime forces and protesters injured at least 20 people.

Meanwhile, thousands of protesters staged a rally in the western city of Hudaydah on Tuesday to call for the immediate ouster of Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

5. Well, ACTUALLY, it's probably just the Yemeni government taking credit for a US strike:
Wikileaks exposed a deal between president of Yemen, Saleh, wherein Saleh would take credit for US strikes.

I'd read this quite widely-reported at the time but first hit I got was for the following google search: "against al-Qaida as long as the Yemeni government could take credit for"

I don't have the time to pull up the rest, but it was probably covered extensively in the Guardian or the NYT.

So, it's very likely we don't have competition in the blowing up people game...

4. An immediate no fly zone needs to be implemented
I'm not calling for a Libya style air campaign mind you, but the Yemeni airforce needs to be grounded right this moment if they plan to use it again civilians.
