Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum on 11 April married Princess Haya of Jordan, daughter of the former King Hussain and half sister of King Abdullah. The ceremony took place at the Al-Baraka palace in Jordan. Princess Haya, born in 1974, is King Hussain’s daughter from his third marriage, to Alia Toukan, who died in a helicopter accident in 1977.
