Gingrich campaign finance team quits

Source: Associated Press

The top fundraisers for Newt Gingrich's presidential campaign have abandoned his struggling bid amid anemic fundraising and heavy spending.

Campaign spokesman R.C. Hammond is confirming to The Associated Press that fundraising director Jody Thomas and fundraising consultant Mary Heitman have left the team.

3. I expect many of them to quit over the summer

with their ambitions as the Republican nominee given that their extremist views simply scare off too many people.

I once worked in advertising. One rule regarding political campaigns: they pay up front, for all production and ad time. Always.
