North Korea says will hold talks, but not with ("psycho..")Bolton
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea (news - web sites) said on Sunday there was no change in its stand on holding six-way talks to resolve the communist country's nuclear ambitions, but would not consider U.S. Undersecretary of State John Bolton as an official for any dialogue.

Bolton earlier this week referred to life in North Korea as a "hellish nightmare," where North Korean leader Kim Jong-il lived like royalty while keeping hundreds of thousands of his people in prison camps and millions more mired in poverty. ..

"On the basis of a serious analysis of Bolton's outcries in the light of his political vulgarity and psychopathological condition, as they are quite different from the recent remarks of the U.S. president, we have decided not to consider him as an official of the U.S. administration any longer nor to deal with him," the spokesman said.

3. Heh
That's pretty funny, given the usual rants and raves that emanate from North Korea.

Hard to understand the floating standards put forth by Team Bush...I was hopin gyou might be able to explian........

5. That is their choice. And probably a good one too
To be honest, I could not sit in the same room with Bolton either.

8. I have no opinion on Bolton either way.
I don't actually recall his name at all, although I did see the criticism of the NK quoted in the article. Undiplomatic perhaps, but untrue ?

The general poverty, police state repression, and the comfortable lifestyle of Kim Jong-il are all well documented beyond any comments from Bolton. Rather it appears to me the Koreans are commencing to repeat their negiotating tactics from the Panmanjun peace talks.

The North Korean technique of manufacturing endless distractions and unyieldingly demanding concessions on petty and immaterial points simply to wear down the opposition dragged out the Korean War by at least a year. This doesn't bode well for the forthcoming nuclear talks.

9. I'll ask you what I ask everyone.
Who originally broke the terms of the agreed framework? If you answer KEDO, you win the prize.

And ummm..... dragged out the Korean war by at least a year? I think you might remember that North and South Korea are still at war.

12. Bolton Tried to Undermine Carter's Trip to Cuba - in a speech to the
Heritage Foundation just days before Carter was to leave for Cuba. Bolton made outrageous accusations that Cuba had bio-weapons labs but Colin Powell and Condi Rice didn't back him up!
Carter visited labs in Cuba and basically put an end to Bolton's rants. Bolton seems typical of the B* State Dept. - tell all the lies you want, there will be no retribution from the B* WH.!!!

13. Why are you concerned with the comfortable lifestyle of Kim Jong-il?
Edited on Sun Aug-03-03 11:04 AM by NNN0LHI
We have entire families living in the streets eating out of dumpsters right here in America and guess what kind of lifestyle Bush and his minions are leading? Wouldn't it be better to worry about what is happening in our own country before we get too worried about someone elses comfortable lifestyle? You know the story about people living in glass houses and all.
