Randy Quaid extradition request denied by U.S.

An attempt to seek the extradition of actor Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi Quaid, from Canada to the U.S. has failed.

The U.S. Department of Justice said Friday that it had turned down a request from the Santa Barbara County district attorney to have the Quaids forcibly sent from their current home in Vancouver to California.

A release Friday noted, "the resource-intensive and lengthy process in seeking extradition from Canada," as part of the reason for denying the request.

The Quaids are facing felony burglary charges and misdemeanour counts in the U.S. for allegedly moving back into and vandalizing a home they once owned in Santa Barbara, Calif.

I think that the police have actual criminals they need to focus on instead of a couple of harmless loonies.

Almost seems like a sin to have so many homes that you don't even realize someone is living in one of them until weeks or months later.

What is the worst thing taking place in the world? Genocide? Child rape and slavery? Whatever it is, under your logic, we can do NOTHING until we eradicate that. THAT is the crux of your logic.

I said there was a limited set of things you can do. And that hunting down international house squatters isn't one of them.

Is this really something you would want to have taxpayer money spent on?

Thus, the added cost to the taxpayer is minimal.

....cared much for Randy Quaid and I certainly don't condone vandalism but I do wish our government at all levels would concentrate more on the banksters and wall street casino bosses who stole trillions of dollars and have bankrupted our country....

....I know we can walk and chew gum at the same time but a little less walking and a little more chewing would be welcome....
