Bake sales to sweeten pot for Sen. Kerry's campaign

Anti-Bush bakers nationwide, including some in Northeast Ohio, are adding a pinch of political rhetoric to their sugar and flour this week.

The California-based group MoveOn coordinated more than 1,000 bake sales across America today.

The group's political action committee said it hopes to raise energy and dough for whisking President Bush out of the White House in November.

Local sales - with names like Cookies for Kerry and Bake Back the White House - will be held in Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, Willoughby, Kent and Akron.

5. Tucson Bake Sales

Just returned from delivering my contributions to the MoveOn Bake Sales. Good spot on 4th Avenue with lots of activity going on. Good to know that there are so many independent thinkers out there and not buying into Idiot Son's crap.

7. The bake sale in the Kansas City area

was ENORMOUSLY successful. We raised well over $1,000, despite it being held in a very Republican part of town.
