Putin Says U.S. Is A "Parasite" On Global Economy

LAKE SELIGER, Russia | Mon Aug 1, 2011 4:27pm EDT

(Reuters) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin accused the United States Monday of living beyond its means "like a parasite" on the global economy and said dollar dominance was a threat to the financial markets.

"They are living beyond their means and shifting a part of the weight of their problems to the world economy," Putin told a Kremlin youth group while touring its summer camp north of Moscow.

"They are living like parasites off the global economy and their monopoly of the dollar."

"Countries like Russia and China hold a significant part of their reserves in American securities ... There should be other reserve currencies."

24. Have you written to China to thank them for pretty much everything
you have today ? Yes, the CHINESE ushered in the modern era from your cave dwelling origins.

Did you remember to thank the Nazi's for your space travel and rockets ?

26. Actually the Russians tried to build a truce
between the East and West to allow trade between the two systems and allow them to co-exist.

The Americans said no "fcing way" we can win this, and the official US policy was not dominance on the missile count
but economic war fare - and of course they utterly bankrupted and destroyed the Russians.

The Americans have been employing economic warfare ever since and have destroyed countless countries in the process.

Do you think it comes as any surprise that countries are now waging economic warfare against the united States (CHINA, RUSSIA,
pretty much all of SOUTH AMERICA), and winning.

Your country is going down the crapper not by some magical economic disaster, but well planned, well implemented economic warfare.

The "big sell-off." Anything not nailed down, or not nailed down strongly enough, was sold to
benefit a few corrupt oligarchs. It was a fire sale for commodities & natural resources.

http://shockdoctrinesummary.blogspot.com/2009/04/1990s-russia.html

A few well-connected folks became even more spectacularly wealthy, while unions, social services,
and living standards all nose dived.

9. Well the top 0.4% of the US that benefits from everything are but not sure the rest of us are. And
Putin is trying to set up a the same kind of leech system on the backs of the Countries that broke off from mother Russia so it's hard for me to take him seriously.

Also the oligarchs like the ones at the top of GE are all starting to move out of the US with their ill gotten games and leave the rest of the US bankrupt so bit of a mute point.

Other currencies want to become 'reserve currencies' - go ahead and see if anyone wants to buy them.

Then Yen and Euro are both suffering.

People aren't going to buy Yuan and Robles when you don't have a transparent system.

27. Yeah right -
he is nationalising the resources of his country which were stolen by American economic gangsters.
While Obmama is handing the commons and public wealth of the US over to the Corporations - so WHO is the fascist ?

Meanwhile Obama has state sanctioned torture, state sanctioned assassination, ghosting, rendition, secret prisons has declared war on Libya, has a secret war being conducted by flying robots raging in Yemen and Pakistan.

Oh but Putin is bad because he's what ? Former KGB ? Like its ok for Americans to have former CIA as their Presidents but not the Russians.

Amricans are twisted as hell sometimes, I swear to god the hypocrisy is disgusting.

Are other countries forced to buy the dollar as an investment? Is there anything stopping Russia from buying the yuan or euro? I was under the impression that the US dollar was the best "bet".

But, I guess you can make it uncomfortable for someone to change.
Also, there may be a run on the bank, so to speak.
I dunno.

Who put Putin in charge again? Oh right...

We do have a party that is kinda parasitic, they want to do away with all social programs yet not their own money check from the govt just everyone else's. You can see where this logic gets us, yeah an economy near default.

Still, good to see Vlad shouting out his frustrations with off shore tax shelters.

How did he get the CEO job of Russia?

Got that from a board did ya?
