6. Damn. Apparently Heaven isn't too far away . . .
Wasn't really a fan of this kind of music, as you may have guessed, but it was actually sad watching his interview on "Behind the Music", where he stated that he wished he'd have never written "Cherry Pie". RIP.

8. Interesting factoid - his real name was John Kennedy Oswald...
...born 2/1/64. I guess his parents thought they'd honor the newly assassinated president and soften a surname newly tainted by that assassination.

Cross gently, JKO...

9. Wow. That is an interesting bit of trivia.
Dying so young is such a tragedy. Doing so in a Comfort Inn just makes it more so. RIP, John.

10. I was on the Barricade for a QueensRyche / Warrent Concert
We boo'd warrant off the stage.. We really hated what we called Poser bands , Warrant was definately one of those.
Their big hit "where the down boys go" was full of sexually inuendos.

I feel kinda bad about that now  no not really they really did suck.

11. "Heavy metal" band Warrant? Warrant had as much to do with heavy metal

as Ella Fitzgerald did.

I was there, as a music journalist. From my shoebox full of concert photos, here's one I took of him circa 1995 showing off his tattoo of his daughter:
