Perry and Romney: Obama tardy in calling for Syrian regime change
Source: Dallas News

Gov. Rick Perry, wading into foreign policy, is calling the Obama administration's actions today on Syria "long overdue."

* * *

"President Assad, he's threatened the safety and security not only of the Syrian people but the surrounding world there, as well," Perry said during a campaign stop at a company in Pembroke, N.H., that makes custom modular homes. "He supports terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas and he threatens the security and stability of the entire Middle East. "Today's action is long overdue, and every diplomatic option should be brought to bear to prevent President Assad from wrecking further violence on the people of that region."

Rival Mitt Romney also called Obama's action overdue.

"It has taken President Obama far too long to speak out forcefully against Assad and his vicious crackdown in Syria," he said in a statement issued by his campaign in which he said that Obama's soft stance on Assad emboldened the strongman and discouraged dissidents. "America must show leadership on the world stage and work to move these developing nations toward modernity. This means using the bullhorn of the presidency and not remaining silent for too long while voices of freedom and dissent are under attack."

Of course, Romney and other Republicans has been very clear in saying that Democrats have been too soft on Iran, which makes it obvious that GOP stimulus plan in 2012 is to invade Iran.

2. Neither one of them has standing to say anything about Syria
Perry has no foreign policy experience, and Romney's so-called experience is confined to running sporting games.

We are a nation at war, and the commander in chief is not to be second guessed when we have troops in the field.

3. Like anything Obama says
is going to make a difference. If Obama said something a few months ago would Assad have slinked quietly into the night? I doubt it. Obama is not king of the world.

Don't see anyone on either side speaking out against Saudi Arabia. Or China for that matter.

4. The U.S. has had practically no relationship to Syria, for a President to suddenly step into that
might be held against the Syrian people.

FUCKING WAR MONGERS!!! God help me, I hate 'em.

6. OH For Fucks sake. I'd encourage the GOP to bag it on foreign policy.
Kids need to grow up before attempting to play with the big kids.

7. parry and romney say they will be in the front lines
to invade once Obama gives the order

and where their voices before?? I never heard them say anything before about how bad it was........

I guess these two guys do not think a country has any right to run their own country the way it wants
I wonder how parry would like it if some governor told him he was a jackass and was killing too many people and if he did not stop he was going to come over there and slap him down
