BART protest organizers: Stay off the platforms
Source: San Francisco Chronicle

One message, distributed by "AnonyOps" on Twitter, expressed concern about how the protests - which have prompted BART to shut down stations and have angered many commuters - are being received by the public. The communique suggests an activist group in the throes of a mid-strife crisis.

The message told demonstrators to gather outside Civic Center Station today, beyond the fare gates, and pass out fliers that list demands including the disarming of BART police officers.

"Stay there, don't start randomly marching up and down the streets," the message read. "This in no way impedes the function of the station itself, and ensures that the public cannot reasonably see us as 'the protesters who kept me from getting home.' "

...

Organizers with Anonymous are urging a tight focus on BART, but last week many demonstrators shouted at San Francisco police officers, often right into their face, calling them pigs, Nazis and killers.

1. I'm still glad I left work at 3:00 to avoid these fools
Funny how they finally changed their tune on the same day that a "protest the protesters" event popped up on Facebook :)

Authorities repeatedly closed two San Francisco BART stations during the Monday evening commute, arresting 45 people in connection with an anti-BART protest that roamed both aboveground along Market Street and inside the transit system.

I'm surprised that Anonymous is allowing that Facebook page to stay up.

Disagreeing with them has consequences.

3. They yelled at SFPD officers?
News flash: BART has its own police force, geniuses. That's why you're out there, 'cause they shoot people to death more often than SFPD (or OPD or just about anyone). :dunce:
