Marco Rubio slams latest Obama jobs proposal
Source: The Hill

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) slammed the jobs legislation that was blocked by Republicans in the Senate Thursday, calling it a "bailout" and "stimulus 2.0."

"I support a real jobs plan. I don't think what we voted on today is a real jobs plan. I think it's another bailout of local governments," said Rubio in a Web video posted Thursday.

The $35 billion Democratic measure was designed to prevent layoffs of teachers, police officers and firefighters in cash-strapped states. Most of the funding, $30 billion, would have gone to saving teaching jobs, with the rest of the money directed to first responders.

Rubio made the issue personal in his video statement, saying although he has firefighters and teachers in his own family, he could not support more spending when there is already massive federal debt.
"We can not afford to be bailing out local governments. We can not afford stimulus 2.0. We can not afford another stimulus program which is what the president is proposing," he added.

Sounds like the GOP's little 'rising star' is angrily flaming out.

It's time to clean up the mess from the flash in the pan.

Sorry, Jeb.

It ain't gonna be this one.

4. Rubio: "I'm not going to be the vice presidential nominee."
But, politicians like these speak with forked tongues.

October 5, 2011, via Politico:

Rubio shuts door on VP nod

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio says he's not going to be the GOP vice presidential nominee in 2012 because he's focused on being a U.S. senator.

Speaking at a political forum in Washington, Rubio said flatly: "I'm not going to be the vice presidential nominee." He then repeated himself.

Rubio said he didn't run for the Senate "to have a launching pad for another job."

.....

Probably because of this:

Rubio's negative numbers on the climb all year, October 6, 2011

This little Jeb Bush loyalist can't hide from his past.

And the more people find out about the disgraceful magnitude of it, the faster he leaves the scene.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Marco. Because you are on the way out.

12. so he claims to have people in public safety in his family
Guess he doesn't give a shit about his own people getting laid off. Of course he doesn't offer up any proof. Sounds like when someone says they have black friends after saying something racist.

13. So he supports a "real" jobs plan that includes firing ...
... a bunch of teachers and firefighters, and contains no spending?

That sounds more like a job loss plan to me. It's hard to believe anybody is stupid enough to believe such nonsense.
