1. "Panel: Don't use Diebold touch-screen voting machines " (SFGATE)
California should ban the use of 15,000 touch-screen voting machines made by Diebold Election Systems from the Nov. 2 general election, an advisory panel to Secretary of State Kevin Shelley recommended Thursday.

By an 8-0 vote, the state's Voting Systems and Procedures Panel recommended that Shelley cease the use of the machines, saying that Texas-based Diebold has performed poorly in California and its machines malfunctioned in the state's March 2 primary election, turning away many voters in San Diego County.

The recommendation affects 15,000 Diebold touch-screen machines in San Diego, Solano, Kern and San Joaquin counties.

San Diego and Kern counties have heavy Repub tendencies. They would have been two of the counties to use if you were going to steal votes with BBV. You could easily hide the switching of votes from Dem to Repub in those counties and no one would see anything wrong.

They would just think the counties went heavily repub.

5. criminal and civil charges against Diebold would be nice :)
<<In addition to the ban, panel members recommended that a secretary of state's office report released Wednesday, detailing alleged failings of Diebold in California, be forwarded to the state attorney general's office to consider civil and criminal charges against the company.>>

7. Great News !!! maybe it will catch on in places like:
Ohio, Florida ( that have had dirty elections already too ) and Georgia.... these places are more in danger....maybe because the Repubs who are trying to steal another election, Have more control in those places...(site: Jeb Bush-Florida and Die-bold Corp. - Ohio....Georgia who is famous for using the Die-bold Computer no paper machines to steal the election from MAX CLEALAND) OR MAYBE it is because the other states are not paying attention.....They would rather have Chaney's sock-puppet steal this election.....Of course if they clean up the ability to steal the election with the paperless computer trail - Diebold... They will pull off another "Terrorist Attack" and cancel the election altogether.....They can't lose this election because if they do they will ALL go to PRISON for TREASON for a LONG TIME and PRESIDENT KERRY won't give them a pardon....YES !!!

8. The Orange County systems changed the results of one race

The main machines, which had all the problems, are not Diebold although Diebold is used for one part of the process. These need to be de-certified as well. Even the Registrar admitted that the results of one race were changed because of computer malfunctions.
