Christopher Hedges and other Occupy Wall Street protesters get arrested in front of Goldman Sachs headquarters in Battery Park City after they held a mock trial against the company at Zuccoti Park and marched to the building with their guilty verdict. Approximately 15-20 protesters were arrested in an act of civil disobedience.

At least 15 Occupy Wall Street protesters were arrested Thursday after marching on Goldman Sachs to deliver an “indictment” of the financial giant.

Among the demonstrators hauled away after sitting down in front of the multinational’s doors at 200 West St. was former New York Times foreign correspondent-turned-activist Chris Hedges.

At noon, about 300 marched eight blocks to the firm’s HQ to deliver their “verdict” of guilty and to demand the imprisonment of CEO Lloyd Blankfein. On the way, they chanted “Goldman Sucks.”

I so wish I could be with them as they stoke the fires of justice against the wantom theivery of the monied and powerful. Even if the eventual outcome causes us personal discomfort - which I fear it will - it'll be well worth it to throw off the yokes of servitude and level the playing field for ALL mankind. It's what HAS TO HAPPEN. There's no God or Rapture crap gonna save us from ourselves. It's up to us. As has been said: We're the ones we've been waiting for.

EDIT for typo

6. +1 "Act of courage" is right. "Thank you, demonstrators" is right.
This is a time when DUers sending some pizzas would be a very good thing.

We ALL need to support this movement--and the demonstrators in our area however we can--and physically join the demonstrators in or nearest our city town as much as we can.

9. I saw him speak several months ago
He stopped here in Madison, WI on a book tour and spoke on campus to a packed room. Addressing the protests against Gov. Walker, Hedges said that protesting and civil disobedience are all we have left and that it must be done if we have any hope of saving the country.
