German neo-Nazi terrorists had 'hitlist' of 88 political targets

Police investigating a German neo-Nazi terrorist group have discovered a hitlist of 88 possible targets, including two prominent members of the Bundestag and representatives of Turkish and Islamic groups.

Investigators have been trying to establish whether the list included people the group was actively plotting to kill, or was simply a list of high-profile political opponents.

Two of those apparently targeted are senior politicians from Munich: the Green MP Jerzy Montag and the Christian Social Union MP Hans-Peter Uhl. Both said they were deeply shocked by the revelation.

According to Spiegel Online, investigators discovered the list during inquiries into the activities of the so-called National Socialist Underground (NSU), which is suspected in a string of terror attacks in Cologne and Düsseldorf from 2000-2004. The number 88 is significant, corresponding in the alphabet to HH, or Heil Hitler.

German police questioning a man over suspected links to an underground neo-Nazi group believe the network may have been larger than previously thought. The man being held has been identified as Holger G, who is believed to have provided vehicles and documents for the far right group.

Alarm over the far right threat has prompted German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich to call for a national register of dangerous right wing extremists.

The cell is thought to have been responsible for the deaths of 10 people over the past decade, including the so-called kebab murders of mostly Turkish shopkeepers.

The case has prompted the government to consider new ways to outlaw the far right NPD, or National Democratic Party. A previous attempt ten years ago was later rejected by Germany’s highest court.

According to everything I've ever read, the word socialist belongs to the left wing in the graduation of political thinking, ie: communism, socialism, capitalism, totalitarianism, feudalism. If that is correct, then how can the *far right* organization referenced in the OP article get away with calling themselves National Socialist Underground (NSU)? And for that matter, how can dick wads like Glen Beck and Rush Limpbrain get away with calling Obama a nazi? I would think that Beck and Limpbrain would be supportive of Obama if they really thought he was a nazi, because the right wing nazi tenant of "ascendancy and domination of the privileged and select few ("the master race") over the common and the many (rest of us slobs)", falls right in line with the way that they think ie: the mandate of the wealthy class to decimate the poor and the disenfranchised class. I would further assert that Beck and Limpbrain, as well as the Fox Broadcasting Network, including Ted Turner (how did Jane Fonda ever get into bed with him?), are in fact, neo-nazis, whether they call themselves that or not.

If I am mistaken, then perhaps some of you who are more politically sophisticated than I would care to enlighten me.
