Conservative critics have questioned whether Kerry deserved all three of his Purple Hearts for battle wounds, an issue the Democratic presidential candidate sought to put to rest last week by releasing his military records. On Sunday, a top Bush adviser criticized Kerry for leading anti-war protests after he returned from the battlefield.


"This comes from a president who can't even show or prove that he showed up for duty in the National Guard," Kerry said Monday during an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America." "And I'm not going to stand for it."

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Vice President Dick Cheney, who often serves as the administration's point man in attacking White House hopeful John Kerry, was the subject of a blistering critique by a key Democratic leader on Monday.

McAuliffe charged that Cheney, as secretary of defense during the administration of Bush's father, worked to cut defense programs such as the M-1 tank, B-2 bomber, AH-64 Apache helicopter and F-16 fighter jets.

Some of those weapons and equipment, McAuliffe said, "our troops are using right now in Iraq."

Republicans are attacking Kerry on the very same issue.

I find it absolutely stunning that the Repubs would even have opened this can of worms. As I replied when someone I know recently informed me that there were "questions" about Kerry's war record: "At least he has a war record." O so easy.

In 1992, as Democratic candidate Bill Clinton --- faced criticism for avoiding service in Vietnam, Kerry said, "We do not need to divide America over who served and how. I have personally always believed that many served in many different ways."

Service is irrelevant. It's fair for Kerry to respond, since he's being attacked. It's still a non-issue. If it was an issue, 90% of the population would be precluded from being President.

They are the assholes who threw the gauntlet. Fuck 'em.

The right wing smear machine is all over Kerry's illustrious and noble military career and it's sickening to watch. The Bush people have no message but FEAR and have to denigrate an actual HERO to try and re-steal the White House.

SO, I'm livid and I want to throw my full support behind Mr John Kerry, but I've been out of the political loop for a few months (moving, trying to make ends meet, etc) so I have no Contact information for the Kerry crew, and I want to get some facetime with Teresa, or someone near to the top. I met their campaign manager, or one of them and was blown off and that soured me a bit, so I need to get to someone that's is willing to take an honest look at what I do and what I'm good and and potentially USE some of my material.

I created this exactly one year after the actual horror took place on 911. I found it absolutely impossible to believe that Bush would sit on his butt in a schoolroom KNOWING that one of the World Trade Center towers had been taken out by an airliner - and STILL sit there (even AFTER Andrew told him personall that the SECOND tower had been hit) and READ A BOOK ABOUT A GOAT FOR OVER A HALF AN HOUR.

Think about that. I've included all the information by the media that shows that he had FULL KNOWLEDGE of our country being under attack when he walked INTO that school (placing all those kids in danger - his whereabouts were well known - this was a planned photo op.

This flash may be disturbing to some people. It involves a split screen that shows Bush reading on the left while the buildings burn and poor souls are leaping to their death. The death that in my opinion was allowed to happen at a minimum and at a maximum shows utter incompetence by Bush, who as we have learned recently had MANY warnings in presidential briefs right up to the cataclysm. BUSH KNEW - AND DID NOTHING.

This flash was made possible by the use of actual footage made at the Booker Elementary school by local media that morning that shows CONCLUSIVELY that Bush SAT on a chair, looking mighty guilty to many of us.
