Three Injured As WNBC News Helicopter Crashes In Brooklyn

Three Injured As WNBC-TV News Helicopter Crashes In Brooklyn

MAY 04TH, 2004

A news helicopter for WNBC-TV crashed late Tuesday afternoon while covering a story in Flatbush, Brooklyn, and WNBC is reporting that all three on board have survived the crash.

The chopper crashed into the roof of a home at Lott Street and Cortelyou Road just before 6:30 p.m. after hovering above the scene of a shooting.

Two of the occupants were taken to Kings County Hospital in serious condition, and the other was taken to Brookdale Hospital, also in serious condition.

The Associated Press says that callers to 911 reported seeing the helicopter "fall from the sky" and onto a rooftop.
