Edited on Tue May-04-04 09:03 PM by Newsjock
Reuters

ATHENS (Reuters) - Three bomb blasts hit a central Athens police station early Wednesday, a police official said.

It was not clear whether there were any casualties or damage to the building. The police official said authorities had received an anonymous warning that the three explosive devices would go off at the police station in Kalithea.

7. For those in a similar, locked thread who said they never heard
about bombings before Bush:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/3686755.stm

The Greek authorities claimed they had crippled the most dangerous domestic "terrorist" threat after the convictions last year of 19 members of the November 17 group, blamed for 23 killings and dozens of other attacks since 1975.

But smaller groups have continued to carry out bombings and arson attacks in Athens and other cities.

In September, bombs damaged a judicial complex in Athens and injured one police officer. The bombings were claimed by a group calling itself Revolutionary Struggle.

According to the police, the group threatened more violence after a bank was bombed in March. Also, the language used in Wednesday's tip-off was the same as that used in March.
