U.S. Iraq Military Deaths - 789 U.S. service members have died

As of Wednesday, May 19, 789 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq (news - web sites) last year, according to the Department of Defense (news - web sites). Of those, 575 died as a result of hostile action and 214 died of non-hostile causes. snip

Since May 1, 2003, when President Bush (news - web sites) declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 651 U.S. soldiers have died — 466 as a result of hostile action and 185 of non-hostile causes, according to the military's numbers.

2. CNN's site has been revamped - more informative - 50 in May...
CNN's has revamped their special site on Coalition deaths. From my count it looks like 50 soldiers have died in May. After the terrible April, fifty in May has quietly (in the media) happened.

My God, at this rate there'll be 1,000 dead by October.

Over ten thousand of them have died in this needless, illegal invasion, too! Many more have been maimed and brutalised by Amerika!
