<snip>He also said three US soldiers were wounded in separate attacks around Tikrit, where the 4th ID is scouring the countryside in a bid to disable the support network of Saddam and hopefully find the ousted president himself.

Two were hospitalised after roadside bomb attacks, and a third was wounded by a mortar round, but returned to duty.

Sixty kilometres (40 miles) to the west of Baghdad, at least three US soldiers were wounded Friday when a roadside blast hit two US all-terrain Humvees by al-Amariya, witnesses said.

A powerful explosion shook the road at 10:00 am (0600 GMT), flipping over one of the vehicles, said farmer Sami Abed al-Issawi.

1. But....
Fox, CNN, and MSNBC said the fighting in Iraq is over cause we killed the Hussein boys. The only things we should be concerned about are basketball players and the California recall.

3. 6 scarred for life, 5 more unable to perform.
Time to impement the Wesley Calrk plan. Get the U.N. in there to work in the less active areas. Keep the U.S. in the "Sunni triangle". You have the international support, you have less U.S. troops in the area, this will increase your ability to rotate the troops out and save ware and tear on them. He stated the U.N. is not designed to take on the "Sunni triangle" . I would like to see a logical argument against that from the WH. Matter of fact I would like to see Gen. Clark and Bush or Rumsfeld on the sunday morning shows discussing this.
